About Us
Gibsonandlily started out as a project between a few friends who were sick of social news websites that had become oversaturated with pointless javascript widgets, tired out old memes, and pictures of cats.
We had always emailed interesting news articles to one another, and even had a bit of a mailing list going between us for a while. The next logical step beyond that was to concentrate everything in one place.
This is that place.

Few can fully appreaciate the depth or breadth of Cody's knowledge. Although he is a pinko commie bastard that is trying to destory the United
States with socialism, Cody can delight both your mind and your soul with his vast knowledge of music and his ability to find obscure and oddly
appropriate photos. Fear his beard growing abilities. Fear his laugh, fear his smile, but embrace his knowledge.

Travers

Travers connects to Gibsonandlily via a PDP-10 that he bought from an Air Force base in Nevada. Legend is that he found information on this machine
proving the existence of Alien life forms and that he sold his silence to the government in exchange for an endless supply of vintange computing
equipment. There has been a comic written about Travers called BOFH, I suggest reading it.

Ryan

Ryan is the site's admin. He can usually be found buried under a mountain of packing peanuts from a fresh
shipment of supplies at work. He enjoys a spirited debate about politics and economics over a delicious Pina
Colada (the non-gay kind). Fear his ability to churn massive ammounts of poorly written python and perl.

Nobody is entirely sure where luke came from, or how he got here. There are legends (some say they started in the halls of wikipedia) that luke is
not from the planet. Some even say that luke is not his real name (they point out that he doesn't capitalize the L). We aren't entirely sure where
he came from either. One day he showed up in the users table as a mod. Every try to remove him has resulted in an I/O error and a complete system
crash. Regardless of where he came from, luke is always here to offer up some sage-like wisdom. There are even rumors that on dark nights in the
datacenter, you can hear him quoting the simpsons or listening to obscure music.
